About Marcus Trummer
Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify
A young artist with an old soul, Marcus Trummer blends modern sensibilities with tradition in his distinctive style, which encompasses blues, soul, and rock. Dubbed “a precocious guitarist whose vocals possess a wise-beyond-his-years weariness” by the Calgary Herald, the Calgary-born musician is already earning widespread recognition.
Trummer was named a Prophets of Music Emerging Artist at the Calgary Alberta YYC Music Awards in 2019 and won Blues Recording of the Year in 2022. That same year, he was nominated for New Artist of the Year at the Maple Blues Awards in Toronto. In 2023, he traveled to Colorado as a finalist in the Telluride Blues Challenge—where he emerged as the winner.
Drawing inspiration from legends like Bill Withers, Al Green, B.B. King, and Jimi Hendrix, Trummer’s warm, emotive vocals and expressive guitar work are infused with raw honesty. His songwriting explores love, life, and coming of age, creating music that resonates deeply with listeners across generations.
Don't miss this rising Canadian singer-songwriter’s first Midwest performance— a testament that the blues will live on through the next generations who keep it alive and thriving.
