Chicago-based artist Clairice (formerly known as E Woods) combines hypnotic beats with raw emotion to create a sound that is both captivating and heartfelt. Her voice, both intimate and powerful, draws on the vulnerability of modern pop and the soulful depth of R&B.
Having opened for acts like Thee Sacred Souls, Emeline, and Giant Rooks, Clairice has crafted a sound that is as expansive as it is personal. As she unveils her debut EP, Patient On Me, she invites audiences into a world of tenderness, where lush synths, haunting melodies, and evocative lyrics collide.
Join Clairice for a night of captivating sound and raw emotion as she brings Patient On Me to life.
Sometimes, if you want to come home to yourself, you have to shake off everything you once thought was real. Human Human, the debut album from Chicago singer, songwriter, and producer Carlile, shines a beacon from that seat of transformation. A full-hearted and inexhaustibly generous pop treasure, Human Human radiates with the joy of unfettered self-acceptance -- and all the awkward, terrifying moments of surrender it takes to get to a place where you can finally fall in love with your own beautiful mess.
Carlile is the middle name and performance alias of Emily Nichols, a longtime figure in Chicago's thriving underground music ecosystem. Over the past decade, she's issued a streak of glossy synthpop EPs while performing at storied venues and opening for big name indie artists. She meticulously laid the groundwork for her debut LP Human Human, an unselfconsciously playful and thrilling work of synth-pop recalling the warmth of Robyn and the luster of MUNA in its bold, sweeping arcs. This is an album that savors the pleasure of splashing a full rainbow of feeling against the wall.
Detroit native Rhea the Second is making serious waves in Chicago’s music scene, quickly becoming one of the most exciting artists to watch. Seamlessly blending pop, R&B, house, hip-hop, and dance, Rhea has crafted a sound that’s unmistakably her own. Drawing inspiration from icons like Janet Jackson, Brandy, Toni Braxton, Donna Summer, and Aaliyah, her music radiates creativity, energy, and style. As she continues to evolve, her unique essence is bound to resonate with fans worldwide.
Her resume includes working with artists like Noname, Leon Bridges, Durand Jones & The Indications, Eryn Allen Kane, and Neal Francis. She’s also graced the stages of some of the country’s most renowned music festivals, including Pitchfork Music Festival, Pride Fest, and Coachella. Her latest EP, Mama’s House, created alongside rapper MVTE, has been hailed as one of Chicago’s most exciting releases of 2024.
Now, fresh off the release of her high-energy single “On the Floor”—a dance-pop-R&B anthem produced by Mama’s House collaborator Mike Jones—Rhea is ready to bring THE RHEAVERSE to the stage.
