**RITUALS** is a Toronto-based shoegaze/post-punk project led by Adam Seward. Originally active from 2010-2014, they released two EPs—Rituals (2010) on Unfamiliar Records and Mesmerized (2012) on One Big Silence—earning acclaim from Vice, BrooklynVegan, and Exclaim while performing alongside Mac DeMarco, Metz, Austra, A Place to Bury Strangers, and many others. Their run included SXSW 2012 and extensive shows across NYC, Montreal, Eastern Canada and Southern Ontario before Adam took a hiatus to pursue filmmaking. A decade later, Adam revived RITUALS with a new lineup—Phil Wilson (Clothes Make the Man, Vire), Chris Riel (Decades, Lobby), and Alistair Bundale (Featherweight, Shallow Waves)—crafting an evolved sound from years of privately written material. Their comeback includes three singles: Blood Horizon, Illusions, and Tangles, Adam also Wrote/Directed the music video for Tangles leading up to their new Aurora EP in spring of 2025. The Aurora EP is a 6 song EP rooted in post-punk with remnants of new metal slow heavy beats, haunting synth pads and shoegazey washed out brooding vocals.The EP drops April 19 with the shows in Hamliton and Toronto to celebrate.
