Description
Pool Girl, the solo project of multifaceted artist, producer, DJ, and songwriter Allie Nixon, is making waves in the indie music scene. Fusing indie electronic production with melancholy lyrics and beachy guitars, her music explores themes of nostalgia, loss, and femininity. Her debut EP, Trophy Wife, has garnered over 2 million streams, earning support from editorial playlists like Lorem and Fresh Finds. Recognized by tastemakers like Wonderland and COLORS, Pool Girl continues to establish herself as a fresh new voice in indie music. Pool Girl is currently working on her second EP, which will be released this Summer.
Wet World is a Los Angeles eclectic indie-pop duo, dripping with the kind of joyful exuberance and unpretentious freedom that only two real-life friends could bring to their music. Vocalist/drummer Steph Barker and producer/vocalist Luke Atlas met via a Craigslist of all places when Steph drummed with Luke’s previous band. After several years of hanging out and making songs together on the side (with Steph finding the power to sing lead for the first time ever), the pair finally released their first song as Wet World in February 2023. All their songs and videos thus far have been self-produced or collaborations with friends, keeping a scrappy DIY spirit throughout.
Sophia Roze, originally from Nashville and without twang, recently finished recording her debut EP— just in time for her first ever LA performance at Gold Diggers.
Presented by Gold-Diggers.
