Sadness is a main project of musical mastermind Damian Ojeda (Trhä, Life, Liminal Dream). Ranging from Depressive black metal to emotionally uplifting music with both pop and metal sensibilities. With help from friends, Sadness started performing live after more than 10 years with a revolving lineup or collaborators. Sadness's music is characterized by its emotive depth, blending the raw intensity of black metal with the ethereal qualities of shoegaze. The project's dedication to exploring themes of sorrow and introspection has resonated with listeners worldwide, establishing Sadness as a significant entity in the blackgaze genre. Barbelith is an existentially charged atmospheric black metal band with members from Baltimore and New Orleans, founded in 2011. Their music delves into themes of consciousness, introspection, darkness, and the essence of life. Returning after a long slumber in 2021 with ambient offering “Inner Eternal”, this was followed up in 2023 by full band effort “Deathless Master”. In 2024 the duo was joined by Damian Ojeda to finalize the current incarnation of the band.
