Fresh out of Foggy Bottom, Home Remedies is an independent rock band making gentle waves across DC college campuses. The fantastic foursome gets their sound from the poppier side of 90’s alternative as well as DIY folk icons like John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats, slapping together Weezer-esque earworm riffs and finger-picked odes about love and finding a place for yourself. Originally two separate artists, Home Remedies was born when Zach Basile (of Alphabet Soup) and Max Cohen (of Med School!) shared a bill on an acoustic student showcase and bonded over a mutual love of Modern Baseball. They soon began playing each other's songs and in no time drummer Ian Dailey and bassist Andrew “Gibby” Gibson had joined the fray. Constantly inspiring each other, Home Remedies feels incredibly lucky to play together as a band of friends. Home Remedies’ upcoming debut record Goodnight Moon is being recorded in August.
