Founded in 2008, Flor de Toloache is lead by singers Mireya I. Ramos & Shae Fiol. The members hail from diverse cultural backgrounds such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Nicaragua and the United States. While working to preserve centuries old traditions of Mariachi, their melange of the traditional and the modern pushes the boundaries of the genre and brings Mariachi music to new audiences leading to headlines like “The new kings of Mariachi are all women” -Huff Post and “alt-Mariachi” Rolling Stone. In the past few years they have toured, performed and collaborated with artists including- John Legend, Miguel, Dan Auerbuch (Black Keys), Cafetacvba, Natalia La Fourcade, Natalia Jimenez, Tigres del Norte, Lila Downs, Chicano Batman, No te va a Gustar and many more.
