Description
HECKLE CHAMBERS
HECKLE CHAMBER is the new trio of Jem Doulton (Thurston Moore Group), Roberto Sassi (Abstract Concrete) and Alex Ward (Pere Ubu). The three members have a long shared musical history via their tenure in outfits such as the post-harmolodic assault team Forebrace, not to mention the Sisyphean decade-and-a-half Ward and Doulton spent trading as Dead Days Beyond Help, but Heckle Chamber finds them on a new road - one where the unashamed pleasures of grind-and-wallow riffery stand hand-in-hand with those of rug-pulling form-disruption, beaming down upon their feral mutant offspring.
THE GLASS KEY
The Glass Key is an instrumental duo based in London.
It comprises Andrea Giommi (Sons of Viljems - Edible Woman - Leg Leg - The Emerald Leaves) and Nicola Lombardi (Uyuni).
Prior to finding a name for the project, Nicola and Andrea had been jamming in London for a few years, combining heavy electronic rhythms with layers of guitars and synth riffs. The band now performs live as a duo or as a trio with the inclusion of the incredible Frank Byng on drums (Snorkel, This is not this heat, owner of Slowfoot Records).
On their first release, the EP ‘Sleepwalking home’ on Coypu Records (A place to bury strangers, Algiers, Soviet Soviet), the band combines their obsessive and repetitive approach to grooves with guitar progressions, distorted and apocalyptic drones and melancholic guitar and piano melodies.
KUNAL SINGHAL
Kunal Singhal is a solo vocalist who draws on a huge range of beloved genres, his Indian heritage and an improvisational approach, to create dense harmonies on a loopstation. Largely untrained, he performs a mixture of prepared and improvised music, encouraging audience participation in his celebration of expression, playfulness and loudness. Currently recording with Kontrast Mastering, we can expect to see his debut single released in 2025.
"A unique, immersive experience" - Echoes And Dust
"Very very cool and very impressive" - My Global Mind
"...meditative and riveting all at once. Music for the troubled mind." - The Progressive Aspect
