x3butterfly + 1OO1O
+++ Clearcast + CYBER1A + Skiis + Yuca Frita + Moonpie
x3butterfly is a Mexican/American DJ and producer from Detroit, currently based in New York. While studying at California Institute of the Arts, they began their career in music as an experimental performance artist.
Having drawn inspiration from early industrial and techno pioneers, x3butterfly’s sets retain a raw and ominous quality, with a club twist. Prioritizing the eclectic, they often aim to take listeners on a story-telling journey while simultaneously keeping them on the dance floor. Their sets combine jungle, drum and bass, R&B, dubstep, techno, and other world sounds at 140-160 BPM. x3butterfly has played in various clubs in Mexico, Germany, Denmark, Greece, as well as a multitude of cities in the US. They have quickly become a rising NYC star, DJing notorious NYC venues such as Bossa Nova, Mood Ring, and Nowadays
Mexican producer 1OO1O has been steadily ascending with his tropi-fusions of salsa and breaks, expertly folding the Caribbean genre's rhythmic principles into techno and bass music—all with a puckish wink.
1OO1O’s vision seeks to innovate within genres, combining classics rhythms with fresh elements. His sound constantly mutates in form and sound while remaining true to his original influences. His production currently explores multiple genres within leftfield electronic music: breaks, electro, uk garage, jungle, techno.
Within the music industry, 1OO1O stands out for directing the label MOVELIKE, putting shows together, designing posters, producing radio shows and dealing vinyl.
